This 1983 Lincoln Continental Mark VI is a highly original loaded luxury classic that has been under good care for decades. So it's quite noteworthy to find a budget price on a loaded fuel-injected V8 classic.
The Mark VI represents one of the most interesting times at Lincoln. It was the only time a sedan version of the Mark series was ever offered, and this lasted only a short few years (concluding in 1983.) It may have been sold alongside the Lincoln Town car that year, but this had exclusive sporty touches like the hidden headlights, louvered fenders, opera windows, and hallmark Continental kit style rear. This sedan was also considerably more expensive than the Town Car, and so the numbers were always rarer. The Scarlet Red paint shows possible signs of being the original application. It has aged appropriately, but it still has the good shine of a respected car. In fact, this car was truly the cherished Lincoln in the consignor's family for many years. You can see that respect in much of the fit and completeness (just look at how those headlight doors still fit flush.) There are even nice custom touches like the wire wheels, bright door edge guards, and dual exhaust tips. So ... Please ask for the full description.

Description
So while you may use the value price to reinvest in some details, like the vinyl roof, this one is already quite impressive from day one.
It's hard not to be impressed by the well-presented vintage luxury inside. After all, the red velour seats remain bright, and they have the kind of cushy feeling you'd love to have on a sofa. In fact, the odometer is believed to represent the full actual mileage. And this has the feeling of less use you would find on a car that has averaged under 2,600 miles annually. Full-sized luxury means you can choose to seat six or fold down the armrests in both rows to give four people the individual comfort you expect from the Mark series. As a true Lincoln, this is loaded with features like cruise control, power locks, power windows, and provisions for air conditioning (will need servicing.) There might be little details you want to upgrade, but when the classic wood trim still feels smooth and complete, you know you have a quality classic. This has even already been upgraded to an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input for the best in modern driving music. Your seat power adjusts to the ideal position, and you have a tilt steering column to ensure your experience behind the wheel is a true Lincoln-level cruising sensation.
This is a premium Ford product from the '80s, and so you know there's a 5.0-liter V8 under the hood. It has an honest presentation that looks exceptionally stock. It's a factory fuel-injected car, and it looks like the poster child for regular maintenance. So this fires up and runs with the smoothness and consistency you expect from an FI machine. While the Five-Oh motor was earning a street-eating reputation in the Mustang, this is quite a different setup. It utilizes its powerful and torque-filed heart in a more refined way. So no rumbling burnouts here, but you do get to be the first to pull away for the stoplight any time you want. Plus, it has power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, and a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive. So it's the kind of classic luxury that can still easily take you in comfort on long road trips.
