SMALL BLOCK CHEVY POWERED, 200R4 O/D TRANS, UNIQUE BODY STYLE, POWER STEER/BRAKE

This 1967 AMC Rambler American has the unmistakable look of the cool Hurst SC/Rambler. It even has a powerful V8 and suspension upgrades, too. But this is also its own unique machine with individual style and terrific upgrades everywhere from the updated interior to the overdrive transmission.

These final years for the final generation of the AMC Rambler were updated for some squared-off muscle car style. And since this 1967 model and the Hurst SC/Rambler are from the same era, it only seems natural to add plenty of that sporty flair. So this one starts out with added sporty flair of a deep red that was applied in 2019. This is joined by a black streak painted on the rockers and across the rear spoiler. They even have a proper pinstripe around them. And we know you just love the one that goes over the top while also having the SC's signature arrow pointing to the big hood scoop with callout. This one gets the classic details right with bright chrome bumpers, large dual exhaust tips, and mag-style wheels with redline tires. But as vintage as this looks, it also couldn't resist the modern devilish glow of the red halo LED headlights.

The interior goes for an attractive blackout ... Please ask for the full description.

The interior goes for an attractive blackout look. There are upgrades in comfort up front with modern bucket seats, an armrest center console, cup holders, and a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner. And the red piping on the seat is a terrific touch. But this is also built for added performance. The dial below the dash helps you dial in the rear air shocks for the right stance, and the shifter has a six-shooter topper for added attitude. You have a wood-rimmed sports steering wheel, and the tach is mounted on the top center of the dash like a race car.

Under the hood is a great V8 upgrade. We like these AMCs because they are a rare sight, but when it comes to power, we love seeing a Chevy small block upgrade because of the component availability. This 305 cubic-inch V8 has been upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock EPS intakes, and headers. The low mileage on the odometer is said to reflect the mileage since the motor was rebuilt, and it has the fresh and strong style to back that up. It fires up with a proper rumble from the dual exhaust, but any time you want to bring an SC kind of thunder, you also have exhaust cutouts. There's an upgraded front suspension w/disc brakes and traction bars in the rear. Plus, the four-speed automatic transmission offers good radios and a shift kit...and there's overdrive if you just want this one for cruising.

This Rambler pays tribute to one of the boldest quarter-mile cars ever made, and at the same time, it blazes its own trail. So don't miss your chance at a cool and thoughtful custom. Call today!!!
