This 1978 Ford F150 has a go-anywhere, do-anything attitude that few other trucks exude. It's rugged, powerful, and built when trucks were industrial-strength tool. This workhorse remains an outstanding piece of Ford truck history and a heck of a lot of fun to boot.

Nicely finished in light blue over white, it's nice to see a pickup like this in such good condition. Most of these haulers were worked hard and then laid to rest in a salvage yard, or scrapped for metal, but someone has obviously always cherished this one, as there's little sign of a rough past. The gently flared wheel arches are straight and rust-free, the body moldings that surround the front and rear side marker lights are crisply rendered, and the rockers are solid. The paint is in good shape, not so nice that you'd be afraid to use the truck as intended, but plenty nice enough to get more than a few admiring glances on the road. Neat details include the tough, diamond-plate rear bumper, as well as the spray-in bed liner that wraps around the top of the tailgate for protection.

Inside there is a blue interior and an original style vinyl bench seat gives this truck comfortable accommodations for three. An array of ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

460 V8, AUTO, AIR CONDITIONING, PWR FRONT DISC BRAKES, 4X4.

Neat details include the tough, diamond-plate rear bumper, as well as the spray-in bed liner that wraps around the top of the tailgate for protection.

Inside there is a blue interior and an original style vinyl bench seat gives this truck comfortable accommodations for three. An array of gauges, all of which appear to work properly, show surprisingly crisp markings, with three more added below that keep an eye on oil pressure, water temperature, and amperage. Factory A/C is an unusual option on a '70s pickup, but it's more than welcome here, along with an AM/FM/cassette stereo. Luxury wasn't at the top of the option list for a '70s pickup truck, but the headliner and door panels are neatly trimmed to bring a level of appeal that doesn't make you feel like you're left with just the basics. There is a floor lever is for the 2-speed transfer case which practically allows this truck to tackle the roughest terrain.

Lift the mammoth hood to reveal a 460 cubic inch Ford V8 which offers a great soundtrack and impressive performance. An Edelbrock air cleaner and carburetor provides great throttle response, it moves the truck effortlessly and you'll probably find yourself enjoying the stoplight grand prix more than you expected in a big pickup. Aside from that air cleaner and carburetor, it's pretty much as the factory intended. Underneath things also remain stock, with necessary upkeep provided where needed. Power brakes with discs up front make stopping this big machine drama-free, while 31x10.5R15 Sumitomo All-Terrains are ready for on and off-road exploring.

These Fords were renowned for their reliability and off-road prowess, and this '78 F150 still holds true to that calling. It's a classic truck that you can enjoy and won't have to break the bank to do so. Call today!
