TWIN TURBO 3.0L V6 24-VLAVE, ALL WHEEL DRIVE WITH 4-WHEEL STEER, HARD TO FIND!

This 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 is the kind of modern classic that's climbing on the desirability list. After all, it's a sleek sports car loaded with the best features, including all-wheel drive. And at its heart is a multi-valve twin-turbo motor that loves to remind you why Japan is the home of enthusiast technology.

The 3000GT is arguably one of the best looking sports cars of its era. Mitsubishi looked like they were designing a supercar with air channels in front of every wheel, dual hood caps, and a large spoiler with active aerodynamics. And the real secret is that these VR4 versions really had the performance to back up its appearance. In fact, these were expensive when new, and that makes them quite rare today. There were less than 2,600 examples made for all of North American in 1993, and a color like Zurich White gets that down to closer to 500. We like this factory-correct hue because it's a cool color that strikes the right balance between a silver bullet style and a premium creamy white. And it looks particularly good on this one thanks to a full respray later in life. You may find some details that can be redone, like updating the window tinting or trim, but the ...

You may find some details that can be redone, like updating the window tinting or trim, but the affordable price leaves room in your budget if you ever decide that's needed. And from day one, you can really tell that this is a precision-built machine where the panels retail their Japanese build quality.

The interior remains highly stock, and that's desirable on such a unique machine. Expensive means loaded, and so you have a sunroof, power windows, power locks, alarm, cruise control, driver's airbag, and provisions for automatic climate control (the A/C likely needs a recharge to blow ideally cold again.) The stereo is the factory AM/FM/cassette unit that also has an aux input. So you get the cool stock style while still getting to plus in your most modern music players. A coupe like this was built around the driver, and so you have a dash built around you with auxiliary readouts mounted high and tilted towards you. Your well-bolstered bucket seat even power adjusts to the ideal driving position. There is some wear in-line with the car's actual mileage, but you will be impressed with the completeness, right down to the privacy screen over the rear cargo area.

The 3000GT's big claim to fame was its twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6. This was rated at 300 horsepower right from the factory, and the 24-valve setup really lets you experience the power even from a standstill. It's a strong motor, and you get complete control over it thanks to the five-speed manual transmission. While the power could keep up with its contemporaries in a straight line, this special coupe would always surpass them in the corners. All-wheel drive and four-wheel steering made this a rally car for the streets. And this confidence is only reinforced by the fully independent sports suspension and four-wheel power disc brakes.

Complete with owner's manual, technology, collectability, and affordability all come together in a great package. So don't let this Japanese supercar pass you by, call today!
