SVO 302 CID, 5 SPEED MANUAL, POWER STEERING, AC, LEATHER, FRONT DISC BRAKES

Cars like this stunning 1965 Ford Mustang GT350 tribute don't happen by accident. It takes planning, vision, and a liquid-cooled credit card to build a car this nice, this fast, and this well-executed. From the gorgeous paint to the rumbling SVO crate motor under the hood to the 5-speed manual transmission, it has been thoroughly massaged and taken to the next level in every possible way.

There's really no way to make a Mustang fastback look bad, but wow, the metallic blue paint on this one looks absolutely phenomenal! And if you're going to attract all this attention, you had better get the sheetmetal underneath right, too, so a lot of effort went into prepping the bodywork. Gaps are even all around, the doors fit beautifully, and they didn't take any liberties with the tidy original shape. The Shelby-inspired details are of speed and performance, and the R-style front bumper, subtle hood scoop, and Plexiglas quarter windows are all pieces that will make Mustang fans smile. White stripes and the trademark GT350 callouts on the rocker panels have helped to create a car that makes people do a double-take and draw them in without even knowing why.

The largely stock interior has been ... Please ask for the full description.

The largely stock interior has been restored to high standards and shows nary a mark on any of the upholstered surfaces. Look closely, however, and you'll see that the low-back buckets now carry Carroll Shelby's signature on their back rests, which are made of leather, by the way. The original gauges are the same ones Shelby owners received in 1965, augmented by a very cool Shelby-logo tachometer mounted up high. The lovely wood-rimmed steering wheel feels great in your hands and takes you back to the '60s, and while the shifter might look like a period Hurst, it's actually linked to a 5-speed Tremec. You'll also note a somewhat more sophisticated A/C system than the original add-on under-dash unit, Shelby-logo floor mats to protect the new carpets, and race-style harnesses just in case you missed the memo that this is a performance car. An AM/FM stereo head unit is in the dash with speakers throughout the passenger compartment, and the trunk features a neatly-fitted original-style mat and full-size spare.

There's no mistaking the 302 cubic inch small block under the hood. It's actually a fresh GT40 crate motor from SVO that's merely been dressed up like a vintage 289. Full of goodies like a full roller valvetrain, GT40 heads, and an Edelbrock intake, it cackles and barks like a full-race piece but runs like a stocker. A few period dress-up parts give it just the right look for the Shelby-style bodywork, and with only 3000 miles on the build, it's ready to rock. The chassis is nicely detailed like a stock car might be, right down to the red oxide primer on the floors and center section of the 9-inch rear. Power steering improves precision, and that Flowmaster exhaust system has a great 5.0 Mustang sound. Those 17-inch polished Torque Thrusts fill the wheel wells, even wearing relatively modest 215/50/17 front and 225/50/17 rear Nexen radials.

Fully sorted and very nicely finished, this is a resto-mod you can enjoy both on and off the street. Call today!
