TOTAL CREAM PUFF, 1 OWNER AND ONLY 74K ORIGINAL MILES, MINT CONDITION TRUCK!

We sell enough of these handsome Chevy pickups to know that it's more than just a passing phenomenon. But what we don't see all that often are expertly preserved 1-owner long-bed picukps like this amazing 1987 Chevy Silverado. Most long-beds were work trucks, not personal transportation, but this one spent the last few decades living the easy life and it shows.

Yes indeed, that's believed to be vintage 1987 paint on this truck, which seems to have entered a time warp and somehow arrived here in late 2013 with nary a scratch to show for it. 1987 was the end of the line for the squared-off C/K series, and perhaps that's why this heavily-optioned truck survived so well; someone wanted to keep it for posterity. Fit and finish are exactly what you got on the showroom floor in 1987, decent all around with a good shine to the paint and surprisingly good gaps. The bed doesn't look like it ever had to carry heavy, sharp, dirty stuff and there's enough chrome on this rig to make it feel far more luxurious than most trucks of the period. With all the short-bed versions around it in our showroom, the long bed looks positively enormous, but the proportions are arguably better and nothing hauls like an ...

With all the short-bed versions around it in our showroom, the long bed looks positively enormous, but the proportions are arguably better and nothing hauls like an 8-foot bed if that's why you're looking at this particular truck. All the stainless trim, the chrome bumpers, and even the oversized trailer-towing mirrors shine up brilliantly, apparently impervious to the passage of time.

The gray cloth interior is every bit as remarkable as the bodywork. The wrap-around dash has a bright brushed metal applique, the rather rare Z53 gauge package still shows bright markings and the mileage shown is believed to be accurate. As I mentioned, this truck is loaded with options, including factory A/C, power windows and locks, a tilt column, and cruise control. Even the factory AM/FM/cassette stereo is still in the dash! Really, the only notable sign of age might be the cracking on the horn button, but even that's minor enough to go unnoticed unless you really go looking for problems. It's pretty darned nice!

Chevy's reliable, torquey, and fun 350 cubic inch V8 provides all the power this truck could need, and it's still 100% stock. The air cleaner still inhales through the rubber snorkel, the valve covers have not been swapped out for some aftermarket shiny bits, and all the factory components have been properly maintained. Given how easy the 350 Chevy is to modify, it's always a pleasant surprise to see one so incredibly stock, right down to the jack and decal mounted on the front fender. It's backed by a 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and it appears that the forward half of the exhaust system is still original - talk about preservation! This truck also carries the dual tank option, so it's a remarkable long-distance cruiser that's surprisingly comfortable, and the big 235/75/15 Uniroyal Laredo radials ride smooth and look great on the factory Rally wheels.

You already know these trucks are collectable, but finding a loaded long-bed that's this well-preserved? Well, that's definitely something special. Call today!
