AMAZING CENTURY, BUICK 455 V8, MODERN CADILLAC INTERIOR, TASTEFULLY CUSTOMIZED!

There are many who believe that the 1937 Buicks were the best-looking cars of the late-30s. Sleek yet imposing, this incredible resto-mod embodies all that is great about Buicks, yesterday and today: big power, fantastic luxury, and impeccable style.

This Century's sheetmetal is as it was in 1937, which only goes to show you that the original designers' vision is pretty hard to beat. From the fine grille to the flowing fenders to the nicely integrated trunk, this car looks right from any angle. Dressed in black, it certainly looks the part of a luxurious super sedan and the shiny finish on this car doesn't disappoint. It was built to make cruising effortless while retaining all that is great about the late-30s styling, and even the sidemount tires were retained, a feature that is often eliminated or simply looks wrong on a resto-mod like this. Fortunately, the Century's proportions are exactly right and they didn't try to stuff wide modern radials into the fender wells. The paint shows quite well and there are only a few signs of being driven, and all the chrome was refinished when the car was built. Take a moment to enjoy the beautifully sculpted bumpers, the nicely integrated hood ... Please ask for the full description.

Take a moment to enjoy the beautifully sculpted bumpers, the nicely integrated hood vents, and the simple strip of stainless that highlights the car's profile. There's not a single line out of place and no excessive trim.

The interior is simply spectacular. Lifted almost completely intact from a late-model Cadillac, it shows a craftsman's touch and an eye for detail that's entirely appropriate in a big luxurious Buick. All the seating surfaces are leather, with buckets up front flanking an OEM center console. A power driver's seat and a tilt column mean it's all-day comfortable, and with options like power windows and locks (even the vent windows are power!), A/C, and a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system, this is a car that will carry you and your family cross-country in style and comfort. The original dash has been woodgrained like it was back in 1937, although there are now modern VDO instruments in a custom aluminum panel. A custom lower dash panel houses the A/C controls, while the modified Cadillac center console carries the Pioneer stereo system. Fresh carpets and custom door panels were installed when the car was built, and the fully upholstered trunk is big enough for all your gear on a long trip. This really is a no-compromises car.

It's always refreshing to see a rod that's NOT powered by a small block Chevy, and this one remains 100% Buick thanks to a 455 cubic inch big block V8. The Century's reputation for performance started in 1936, and this one maintains that reputation with aplomb. A 4-barrel carburetor lives under that custom housing and there's a bunch of shiny aluminum dress-up to make it worthwhile to open the hood. The engineering involved means it runs cool, idles smoothly, and all the accessories are easy to reach for service. The modern A/C uses R134a refrigerant for reliability and a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission gives it long legs on the highway. A modern front clip gives it an independent suspension, power disc brakes, and power steering, while out back there are modern tube shocks and leaf springs. Flashy chrome wire wheels look right on the old iron and carry 215/75/15 front and 235/70/15 rear Michelin radials.

Exceptionally well built and very tasteful, this big Century sets the bar high and clears it easily. If you have a family, few rods will carry them better than this '37. Call today!
