SUPER CLEAN SURVIVOR, C-CODE XR7, REBUILT 289 V8, COLD R134 AC, WELL MAINTAINED

Luxury, V8 power, and distinction have never been this affordable. This 1967 Mercury Cougar XR7 has all of the right original pieces combined with great upgrades. After all, who wouldn't appreciate a radiant factory color on the outside and upgraded A/C comfort on the inside?

The Mercury Cougar was the Mustang's rarer and more luxurious cousin, and it carries that distinction nicely. Code-Y Dark Green Metallic is this car's original color, and it has been given a recent professional respray to radiate even more in the sunshine. The paint is part of a total package that shows off this well-respected classic. So as you look it all over, take notice of how the body panels still retain the unique and crisp lines that were exclusive to the Cougar. Plus, the Cougar's hidden headlights and matching grille are more Lincoln than pony car. And the black vinyl roof and white pinstripe are pure '60s premium. Plus, there are great brightwork details, like the form-fitting chrome bumpers and the bright factory wheel covers. And yes, the cool sequential taillights are fully functional, too!

The white pinstripe on the outside is also a nice preview of the parchment leather interior. This is a highly original setup, and its condition is another reminder of the respect this coupe has received. There's the classic three-spoke steering wheel, full instruments, center console, and all that wood-like trim – this coupe is the perfect blend of luxury and performance. But within this vintage luxury are also a few subtitle modern comfort upgrades. For example, the radio is now a retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette. And the air conditioning is blowing cold with modern R134a for easy servicing.

This is a C-code coupe, and so it's great to have a 289 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. The V8 is even freshly rebuilt. It has some nice flair with the polished air topper and valve covers looking good against the big blue block. Plus, this has some great supporting components, like a new alternator and an aluminum radiator. So the V8 fires up nicely, idles smoothly, and feels good out on the open road. And you really get to take full advantage of this motor thanks to the three-speed manual transmission.

Complete with maintenance records and service manuals, this is the distinct classic Cougar that's been invested in nicely to still be easily enjoyed in modern times. Don't miss out, call today!!!
