1971 Chevrolet Camaro RS

This is one flashy Camaro! The paint has tons of metal flake that catches the light and attracts attention whether it is standing still or rolling down the road. That hood makes a statement and the car has an awesome sound to it. You will know it's coming even if you haven't seen it yet.

Starting with a real RS front end, with the correct front end that includes the right marker lights and not just the split bumper look, the body was thoroughly prepped to get the panels straight and the gaps right before laying on that flashy Green Metallic paint. Add in that intimidating looking hood, and make sure that people notice the traction bars peeking out in front of the rear tires by painting them yellow, and you have one flashy Camaro. The bold black stripes were painted on with a nice accent line surrounding them and then the clear coat went on giving the whole car a shine that catches the light and looks awesome. The split bumper showcases the V-shaped grill with a Z28 badge which is underlined by a deep chin spoiler. The aggressive look of the rear spoiler compliments the hood quite well and the chrome bumpers front and rear shine brightly and look great with the Jegs Torque Thrust wheels.

Open the door and you will find a black interior that is a nice compliment to the flashy paint. The second gen Camaros are known as drivers' cars, so go ahead, have a seat in the high-back bucket seat with pleated centers surrounded by smooth panels and check out the view. That sight of that big cowl induction hood through the windshield leaves little doubt that this car has serious intentions. Wrap your hands around the beefy aftermarket steering wheel with the Camaro horn button. It feels good in your hands and you can clearly see the factory Tachometer as well as the speedo. Sunpro gauges monitor the voltage, oil pressure and water temp, and a factory style Horseshoe shifter is waiting to be dropped into gear. An aftermarket AM/FM/CD player is just above the shifter for your listening pleasure, and black carpeting along with a clean headliner tie the interior together nicely.

Now for a special treat, open the hood and you will find a nicely dressed up engine nestled down in a nicely tricked out engine bay. A chrome air horn and filter feeds an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold. Finned aluminum Moroso valve covers are polished and painted to match the body of the car. The control arms that the long-tube headers bend their way around are also painted car color with the rest of the block and heads painted Chevy Orange. Those headers and a free flow exhaust give this car an awesome exhaust note that will turn heads as you roll down the boulevard and even more so when you drop the hammer and let it sing. An MSD ignition assures good spark and an aluminum radiator keeps things running cool. A chrome fan shroud as well as alternator add their splash of flash to the engine compartment too. The rubber meets the road through 275/60R15 tires in the rear and 205/65R15s in the front mounted on those sharp looking Jegs wheels.
