BLUE MONKEY 289 V8, AUTO, WILWOOD PWR FRONT DISCS, EXC RESTO, GR8 PAINT/INT, A+!

This excellent representation of a 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 convertible provides the look of a true masterpiece and top-notch quality – all for far less than a factory-built vehicle. Shelby fans will remember that shortages meant convertible GT350s were not introduced until 1968. Instead, this quality build takes us back to see what the 1967 Shelby GT350 convertible would have been prior to its actual release.

This was clearly a build that spared no expense, making this Mustang spiritually very close to its '68 Shelby soft top cousins. In fact, we have the large stack of receipts dating all from the last couple of years detailing the tens of thousands invested in restoring this Mustang. And during this process, it was the individual attention that created this high-performance attitude. All the important components are here, including the lightweight fiberglass hood, hood pins, extended nose, quarter panel scoops, and trunk lid spoiler. The wide taillights even have the cool sequential turn signals, and there's a snake-bitten gas cap in the center. But the most distinctive feature are the close-set driving lights in the center of the grille. Not all of Shelby's original cars ... Please ask for the full description.

Not all of Shelby's original cars even got in '67 – that's the level of detail on this one! There's correct badging all around the car, and no one will overlook the iconic Shelby 10-spoke wheels. So yes, this total package will easily be a favorite of even the experts. In fact, the only part that most people won't be able to recognize straight from Shelby's factory is the paint. And let's face it, the bold and new application of Viper Blue with white racing strips just sticks out in all the best ways.

The investment didn't just stop with the exterior. The new black vinyl was installed to make this one exceptionally comfortable. There are new seats with modern bolstering, and in between these buckets is a comfortable center console with the always welcomed addition of cup holders. Another great modern upgrade is the stereo. While it looks like this one has an older unit in place, the real tunes are coming from the modern AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth that's hidden in the glovebox. But this creation isn't just about more modern comfort. Owning a classic Shelby Mustang is all about the driving experience. That's why your heart begins to race the moment you grab the wood-rimmed steering wheel (with power steering). Plus, there's the roll bar behind the seats, so when you open the power folding roof, you can let the world know you mean business.

The essence of the GT350 was the best blue oval small block around, and this convertible turns that attitude up even more with a performance-built 289 cubic-inch V8. The exceptionally tidy engine bay has plenty of flash that includes the iconic long Cobra air topper and bright valve covers. But more than just look powerful, the crate motor from Blue Monkey Performance truly delivers the goods. This has been fortified for speed with ARP rod bolts, flat top pistons, hardened exhaust seats, and Comp Cams hydraulic flat tappet mild performance cam. Plus, there are additional go-fast goodies like the Edelbrock Thunder Series 600 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake, and headers. So this motor fires up on command, and makes everyone stand at attention with the growl of the JBA dual exhaust. Power gets to the ground via the stout TCI C4 three-speed automatic, on its way to the Ford 8-inch rear end running a versatile 3.25 ratio. Because this one can outperform the original Shelbys, it was also fitted with a Wilwood drilled & slotted front disc brake package for the ultimate in control.

So now you know there was serious money invested in not only showing us what a '67 GT350 convertible would be, but also the custom build has the performance to surpass this muscle car legend. Best of all, because you're paying a fraction of a GT350 convertible's price, you won't be afraid to really enjoy and show off this unique classic droptop. Call today!!!
