RARE 268 CODE 1-TON, 226 L-HEAD 6 CYL, 3 SPD MAN, NICE PAINT, BULLET PROOF 4X4!!

Finding something as unique as a 1955 Willys Pickup for an affordable price is already quite impressive. But when you see that this turnkey classic is also comfortable and capable, you know you have discovered something truly special.

The handsome, upright truck body says Jeep as loudly as any modern CJ, and it's an icon familiar the world over. But this pickup still retains its own unique flair. That's why people will love them at the car shows, even if they've never seen one before. The recent application of a modern yellow also helps the crowds take notice. The gloss does a great job of highlighting all the ribbed details that came in the panel stamping (they were originally for strength, but now just increase the cool factor.) It has an imposing blocky stance, and its creased sheetmetal even translates nicely on the stylieside truck bed. In fact, if you got this stepside from Ford or Chevy during this time, the bed floor was made of wood. Instead, this ready-to-work, military-grade Jeep has strong steel reinforcing it. And it even has touches of the new world in places like the tubular bumpers and 15-inch American Racing wheels.

The investment in restoration is also evident in the interior. The tan bucket seats are a great upgrade that instantly let you know this is more comfortable than anything out of the 1950s. The black on the door panels and carpeting have a fresh look and go great with the bold yellow that was also used for the interior. The standard Willys cluster looks pretty cool today with large speedometer and full gauges sitting just below it all set in a bright inlay. But also you look closer, you can see an upgrade to a newer center readout as well as a tach mounted on steering column. It all tells you this cool classic still is great for function, too.

Under the hood is a period-correct 226 cubic-inch Super Hurricane six-cylinder. The L-head motor looks great in the engine bay with its gloss black appearance, and more importantly, all the right maintenance has been done. This includes rebuilding the carburetor, new fuel pump, and new ignition. The motor fires up with ease and runs strong like a good Jeep should. The three-speed manual gives you great control on the street or trail. The standard 4x4 system is the backbone of Jeep's reputation, and why these trucks were the choice for government duty. And the full three gear leaver operation still has its sticker in the cab, so there's no confusion on how to get the most out of this Jeep. And there's a lot to get done, because this is a capable 1-ton (code 268) model pickup. Finishing off this very competent package is a set of Mickey Thompson Baja Claw tires.

This classic Jeep pickup is the ultimate expression of go-anywhere and look great doing it. So at this price, you know you need to act fast. Call today!!!
