Here's serious Mopar muscle at quite a nice price. This 1970 Plymouth Satellite has been built to be a GTX Tribute with a growling 400+ horsepower motor. But more than just pure power, this is an A/C-cooled hardtop with a very bright personality. So you've got one attention-grabbing total package.
Take time to appreciate everything this GTX tribute offers. The straight lines are especially critical on Mopar's iconic block B-body cars. After all, these were the midsize offering, but the stylists knew how to give them the look of unflinching full-size authority. Bright Blue Metallic is the factory-correct color, but it has an extra luster that tells you there has been a solid modern application. So, now all the subtle creases of the bodywork really pop when the sunlight hits this super-straight coupe. Competing for this shine are the extra-wide chrome bumpers. And this really gets the GTX upgrades right with aggressive features like the power bulge hood and those large side scoops. Not only does the black striping helps accent those features even further, but also they join the blacked-out grille, tail panel, and tinted windows to give the coupe a true dark side.
The final piece to this intimidating package is the iconic set of Weld Racing wheels with extra wide Mickey Thompson tires in the rear to let everyone know where the power meets the pavement.
When you have a pillarless hardtop like this, you know you're going to love cruising with all the windows down. That way everyone can get a terrific view of one of the coolest interiors around. The metallic blue returns on the seats, door panels, and dash to coordinate nicely with the exterior. And now it's joined by darker blue accenting to add true distinction. Not only was there a nice investment in getting this to look great, but it also has all the right comfort features you want – including an AM/FM/CD stereo and ice-cold R134a air conditioning. And as a true muscle machine, you're also going to spot terrific driver upgrades like the B&M Quicksilver shifter and AutoMeter gauges, including the large tach. These let your senses know you're in for something special even before you twist the key and hear this one roar.
Under the hood it looks clean and mean with the bold orange radiating from within the exterior-matching blue engine bay. This is a 360c cubic-inch V8 that's been stroked to 408ci total. More than just extra displacement, the motor has been fortified and enhanced with a Scat crank, Scat Pro-Mod rods, SRP forged pistons, Lunati Voodoo cam, Edelbrock aluminum heads, Pro-Products air-gap intake, and a large Demon 750 CFM four-barrel carburetor. The Doug's ceramic coated long tube headers add even more power as it feeds the thunderous X-pipe dual exhaust. The full package is rated at over 400 horsepower, and when you need to make them fear you just by hearing you, there's even a set of exhaust cutouts. The Torqueflite A727 three-speed automatic transmission is stout enough to handle the extra power when it's time to unleash the big motor's fury, and there's even a 2,200 RPM stall converter to keep you in the optimal powerband. This feeds a limited-slip rear end with a 3.91 gears for excellent take-offs. Plus, with disc brakes in the front and upgraded leaf springs in the rear, you have terrific total control.
The sale comes with the original broadcast sheet, copy of the original title, and a ton of receipts documenting the big investment in making this a big power machine. So if you're looking for an impressive total Mopar package, don't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
