CORRECT WARWICK BLUE, YS-CODE 400 V8, HIDEAWAYS, FACTORY AC, SUPER NICE GTO, A+

We can tell there was a lot invested in making this 1969 Pontiac GTO look so good. Following the factory specs, it's handsome, fast, comfortable, and intimidating... all the elements that make the GTO a timeless legend.

That's correct code 53 Warwick Blue, a rather unusual color that provides a little more distinction and a subtle reminder you paid a little more to get a muscle car from GM's performance division. The shiny paint tells you all you need to know about this car and its restoration - the reflections are distortion-free and the gaps are excellent all around. The standard GTO didn't need stripes or even a wing to stand out, because people saw the two scoops on the hood and knew to take warning. Of course with the wide track Endura font end paired with the optional hide away headlamps, this coupe looks like a bird of prey ready to strike. Add in the iconic Rally II wheels, and this has everything you love about a speedy Pontiac.

The factory-correct parchment bucket seat interior is quite inviting with nicely detailed seat covers that emulate the always-interesting Pontiac design motif. Plus, the woodgrain paneling on the center console and dash further this upscale feeling. Of ... Please ask for the full description.

Of course you want to drive your classic so the thick black carpeting and floor mats means you don't have to take off your shoes before hopping in for a ride. The driver gets some extra flash with a three-spoke chrome steering wheel (that original comes with the car, too.) Beyond that are the triple pod gauge package accompanied auxiliary readouts below the dash. There's an upgraded digital AM/FM stereo radio in the dash, cleverly disguised to look like the original pushbutton AM radio, including the knobs which blend right in with the rest. This loaded GTO even has provisions for factory air conditioning.

Filling the engine bay is the big 400 cubic-inch V8. This Pontiac has the correct YS coded block, which was good for 350 advertised horsepower. But more than just the period-correct V8, you can really see the investment in making it look amazing with bright chrome valve covers, correct Pontiac turquoise on the block, and a bold red and white decal on the air cleaner. If you look closer you can see the Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock performance intake. The originals come with the sale, but these upgrades mean a larger wallop of power on the road and a better rumble out of the dual exhaust. But more than just listen to the exhaust, see where it comes from with the undercarriage shots. Most people don't get to see under your car, so when it looks this good, you know the restoration was more than just cosmetic. While you're looking there, you might notice great driving features like the power steering, automatic transmission, and front disc brakes. Add in the modern grip of the Goodyear Eagle GTII tires, and you'll realize this is an unbeatable package for those who like to show AND drive.

Optioned right, priced right, and looking fantastic...this highly original Pontiac even comes with the owner's manual and a copy of the window sticker. That last one will show you that the GTO was bought new in Tampa 47 years ago. So you get an aggressive and elegant coupe that looks like it did in 1969, and it's being sold a few miles from its original site. The story alone is worth the price, but a GTO the nice moves quickly around here even without this outstanding pedigree. Call today!!!
