Vehicle Description
This is one of those cars that I would call impeccably maintained during its life, and it has never been fully disassembled for a complete restoration. This means a 1966 Mustang all original that drives well, looks great, and doesn't need any sorting or tinkering to make it ready to go. The paint has obviously been redone at some point, and the bodywork looks good. The color is arcadean blue with some really cool Ford striping. Chrome and stainless trim looks good throughout. The glass is clear all around, lenses are undamaged and bright, and all the correct Mustang emblems are in place. This Mustang still looks like the muscle that commanded a lot of respect. Mechanically, this car carries the engine you really want: the 289 cubic inch with a Holley (4-barrel) double pumper and an Edelbrock for spicing.
Everyone knows the potential built into every one of these engines, and how easy it is to service them. In stock form, they are durable, easy-running engines that are perfectly happy tooling around town instead of tearing up a race track. This car fires up easily and idles perfectly, and it shouild with a documented service record dating back to 1987. It isn't high-strung or finicky, just a nice strong performing motor. This one is ready to cruise with the original C4 automatic transmission that moves easily through the gears as you drive. Out back there's the conventional Ford rear with 2.80 gears for easy cruising.
Inside you'll find a complete original light Blue krinkle and blue rosetta vinyl interior. Look around and you'll see that the seats are in great shape, the carpets are still dark, and there's little evidence of sun damage on the dash. It looks awesome in there, with the original oil and temp gauges adding that nice touch to the dash. The really exciting part about this car is everything works and there is a ton of docs that back it up. If you're looking for a stout daily driver that looks good, this is the one.
