When you show up to a cruise night or car show in this 1986 Chevy Blazer, it will be absolutely impossible to keep a low profile. Someone has invested tens of thousands of dollars in the mechanicals, cosmetics, and, most notably, the stereo system of this Blazer to create a show-stopping machine that will go anywhere and can blow the windows out of houses a block away. The two-tone silver and purple paint job was well done, and the addition of a steel cowl induction hood only helps the already handsome Blazer's looks. The purple fade along the sides and hood is subtle and is entirely dependent on how the light is hitting it-sometimes it's nearly invisible, and sometimes it seems to be glowing from within. Pretty cool. Other custom touches include tinted windows, those clear taillights, and more than a few neon tubes scattered inside, under and around the truck. At night, nobody will miss this one coming, guaranteed.
Prepare to be amazed by the interior. I'll overlook the obvious stuff, and start by talking about the custom leather-lined buckets with purple suede inserts. The original dash is full of custom digital gauges, the door panels have been extensively modified, and overhead there's an incredibly trick hand-fabricated headliner. But the real story is the positively overwhelming sound system that consumes the entire rear half of the truck. You can count along, but there are EIGHT Kicker 15-inch subwoofers, SIXTEEN 6x9 Pioneer speakers, TWO Quantum amps and TWO Power Acoustic amps, FOUR 5 ¼ speakers in the headliner, and FOUR Optima gell cell batteries to power it all.
There's a head unit with a folding video screen integrated into the roof. All that gear has been built into custom housings throughout the truck-kick panels, headliner, door panels, tailgate-everywhere. More purple neon lights it all up and delivers an experience like no other. There's enough power here to vibrate your insides to liquid.
The engine is a fresh 350 crate motor that's been lightly warmed-over, but horsepower isn't the point of this truck. It runs well, the A/C blows cold, and most importantly, it generates enough electricity to keep this mini-city well lit. Underneath, you'll find a built 700R4 automatic overdrive transmission that makes cruising effortless, and a lift kit that gives the Blazer it's awesome stance. Dual Pro-Comp shocks at each corner add to its off-road credentials, as do the giant Eagle Wheels wearing 37x13.5-15 Dick Cepec offroad tires. Nerf bars protect all that expensive hardware, as well as the under-chassis neon and EIGHT additional 6 ½ speakers mounted along the rocker panels. Over the top? You'd better believe it!
The economics of a truck like this don't add up for a builder-there's $1000 in batteries alone! But for the guy looking for a truck with looks, performance, and a stunning audio system, it's a screaming bargain. Call us today for all the details!
